Frog in Hand is a dance-theatre company based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Since 2012, we have produced 45+ original creations & 3 festivals sharing stories with audiences in parks, schools, gazebos, staircases, fountains, abandoned factories, elevators, galleries, street corners & theatres. We are curious as storytellers about human nature and the spaces we inhabit, inspired by local tales, people, & communities that now extend beyond our backyard to treasure the interaction between space, place & narrative with movement. We are committed to engaging spaces in ways that recognize and honour diverse stories and storytellers, reflecting our passion for movement as a medium to transcend language. We uncover, carefully craft, and share diverse stories to create innovative site-specific experiences for artistic exchange, collaboration, and social change; to blur boundaries that separate art forms & communities. We share knowledge with community through creation, performance & education. We are now a collective of dancers, choreographers, musicians, actors, spoken word poets, designers & visual artists.
